Harlem School Pro Recording
For the recording component of the school, we are currently in the process of building 6 student workstations (basically iMacs or Mac Pros outfitted with Garage Band and Pro Tools) and a pro recording room that will include a Avid Pro Tools HD2/C24 rig and Sibelius. The student workstations will also include copies of Sibelius First to help facilitate the learning of music notation. Additionally, we will have an edit room that will be stocked with Pro Tools LE, a 003 Rack, and Sibelius notation software. I’m hoping to network the student workstations with this editing station and its networked printer.
There is much work to be done - including sound reinforcement of the main recording room and the percussion overdubs room. Right now, we are waiting for the C24 Console to lay into the new Sound Constructions desk we received and assembled today. Check the link for some photos of the desk and I will be adding more photos and a room layout as time goes on and we receive more equipment.
